Today’s image comes from my recent trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico. I was wandering around the downtown area with my OM System OM-3 camera (a great little travel camera, if you ask me), and one lens, the OM System 20mm f/1.4 (equivalent to a 40mm lens on a full-frame system). This little combo was delightful to use on a trip like this, where I was interested in enjoying the sights and food of New Mexico as much as I was taking photographs. I love the colors and textures of New Mexico!
A couple of other notes about this photo. You may notice the “matte” border and signature. This was something I did directly in Lightroom Classic, not in Photoshop. I’ll be demonstrating that technique in an upcoming “Five-Minute Lightroom” video. I also took the artistic liberty of removing the reflection of myself (and a car) from the window via the Remove Tool in Lightroom. I just didn’t think the reflections added to the shot, and since I’m not a photojournalist it was okay by me.
