Beautiful shots, and thanks for the lens info. I have an OM Systems 40-150 f2.8 PRO lens paired with my LUMIX G9II. I’ll have to check out the one you mentioned. Always nice to have a versatile lens for travel.
I think it’s definitely improved over the original. I mostly pair the camera with Pana/Leica 100–400 lens for wildlife, especially birds. I have the original version of this lens, but will probably upgrade to the newer version at some point. The OM 40-150 has been awesome for events and some portrait shots. I love the versatility.
Very cool!!

Awesome camera for what I tend to shoot. I had the original G9. Upgraded last year to better sensor and more MP.
I heard the AF is massively better.

It’s got bird AF, right?
Not specifically birds, but rather animals, and it locks on the eye very well. I’ve had really good results with it.
I’m always baffled why manufacturers don’t put this feature into ALL their cameras. It should be industry standard by now.
Thanks, Bob! What do you think of the G9II? I hear it’s very nice.
The visual appeal is palpable.
Thanks! It was very rich in history
