Friday Postcard: Oystercatcher Dance
Happy Friday! I am back from California after a very successful set of bird photography workshops. While I’m still going through my shots, I did have a personal favorite. These black oystercatchers were quite vocal, and I managed to capture them in flight as they called to each other prior to touchdown on the rocks at La Jolla Cove. While I’ve certainly seen oystercatchers here before, I’d never been able to photograph them in flight, so that was a real treat for me!
