What a week! I published my 17th PDF eBook and just in time, too. Yesterday my Internet was down for over 24 hours. That’s unusual for here, but it did provide an excuse to hang out at my local gastropub and use their Wi-Fi for a couple of hours.
Nevertheless, today’s postcard for your Friday comes to you from the southern Oregon coast, near Brookings. I was there last year leading a photo safari and the coastal scenery is simply beautiful. I’m excited to be going back next month for another safari!
This is one of those shots that really requires a tripod. As much as we all hate schlepping those three-legged beasts around, they really do come in handy when you’re shooting around sunrise and sunset. How I got this shot
For this scene, I wanted to fill the boring space between me and the sea stacks with something more dynamic than just blank sand. Fortunately, the tide was coming in and there were plenty of waves coming up onto the beach.
