Five Minute Lightroom: Renaming Your Photos
Automatically give your photos better file names
Welcome to Five Minute Lightroom! Today’s topic is file naming. While it might not seem necessary to change the names of your photos, there are a few good reasons to do so:
Create a custom name that includes some relevant file information, including photographer and sortable date
Camera filenames reset every time you go over 9999 frames, which can lead to redundant filenames on your computer
In this short video, I’ll demonstrate how to rename individual and groups of photos with a custom naming string, then show you how to save that custom naming string as a template that you can apply automatically during image import. Thank you again for your support by being a paid subscriber!
