Celebrating a King
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."
Today marks the celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. May we all find wisdom in his words, and reflect on how we can improve upon ourselves by following his dream. I last visited Washington, DC in 2015, and made a point of photographing his memorial there. (Nikon D810 with 24-120mm f/4 lens, if you' were wondering).
"We shall overcome because the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice."
In early 2016, I was in Atlanta scouting locations with a colleague and I made a point of visiting the Ebenezer Baptist Church. It was a moving experience.

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
